José Manuel Calderón talks to chef José Andrés

José Andrés is a renowned Spanish chef, restaurateur and owner of more than 20 restaurants in the USA under his company Think Food Group. Although multi-faceted, José Andrés’ character is defined by solidarity and the commitment to helping others through the NGO WCK (World Central Kitchen) that he founded with the aim of distributing food to people hit by natural disasters and other crises.


He has been named twice in Time magazine’s “Time 100" list as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Among his many awards and recognitions, he received the National Humanities Medal in 2015 from President Obama in a White House ceremony for his great work in WCK. This same work also landed him a prestigious Princess of Asturias Award for Concord.
